First Choice Insurance Agency, LLC ("First Choice Insurance," "we," "us," or "our") is an independent insurance agency licensed in the State of Florida. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through 1fcinsurance.com (the "Site"), why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. By using the Site or by submitting a quote, contact, or callback request, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.
Information We Collect
Information you provide directly
When you complete the contact form, request a callback, send us an email, or speak with us, you may provide:
- First and last name
- Email address
- Telephone number
- The line of insurance you are interested in (for example, commercial auto, renters, life)
- Preferred callback time
- The content of any message you send us
- Any additional information you choose to share by email, phone, or in person
Information collected during quoting and underwriting
If you move forward with a quote or policy, the issuing carrier — and we, on the carrier's behalf — may request additional nonpublic personal information typical of insurance underwriting. Depending on the line of business this can include date of birth, residential and mailing address, driver's license number, vehicle or property details, prior coverage and claims history, household members, and similar information.
Information collected automatically
Our website host and email provider may automatically log routine technical information when you visit the Site or submit a form, such as IP address, browser type, referring page, pages viewed, and timestamps. We use this information for security, fraud prevention, troubleshooting, and basic operation of the Site.
Cookies and similar technologies
The Site uses only the strictly necessary cookies required to deliver the page you requested. We do not currently run third-party advertising, retargeting, or web-analytics trackers. If we add analytics or marketing technologies in the future, we will update this Policy and, where required by law, request your consent.
Information from third parties
We display public reviews and place information through Google's mapping services. We do not receive personal information about you from Google in connection with those public listings. If you contact us through a third-party platform (for example, a social-media direct message), the information you share will be governed by that platform's policies as well as this Policy.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above to:
- Respond to your inquiry, prepare quotes, and offer coverage options
- Communicate with you by phone, email, or text about your request, your quote, your policy, or your account
- Submit your information to the insurance carriers, managing general agents, and wholesalers we represent so they can quote and underwrite your coverage
- Maintain records required by Florida insurance law and other applicable regulations
- Operate, secure, and improve the Site
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- Comply with our legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations
How We Share Your Information
We share personal information only as needed to operate our agency and provide the services you request:
- Insurance carriers and wholesalers. To prepare a quote or place a policy we transmit the information you provide (and information collected during underwriting) to the carriers, managing general agents, or wholesalers we believe can best serve your needs.
- Service providers. We use vendors to operate the Site and to deliver email — for example, our website hosting provider and our transactional email service. These vendors process information solely on our behalf, under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
- Professional advisors. We may share information with our attorneys, accountants, and auditors as necessary for legal, tax, and audit purposes.
- Legal and regulatory. We may disclose information when required to comply with applicable law, court orders, lawful subpoenas, or requests from the Florida Department of Financial Services or other regulators, and to enforce our agreements or protect our rights, customers, or others.
- Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to standard confidentiality protections.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
GLBA Privacy Notice
This section satisfies our obligation under the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act ("GLBA") and applicable Florida insurance privacy regulations. It describes our practices regarding the nonpublic personal information ("NPI") we collect about consumers who apply for, obtain, or formerly held an insurance product through our agency.
Categories of NPI we collect
- Information from you on applications, quote requests, and other forms (for example, name, address, date of birth, Social Security Number where required by a carrier, employment, vehicle and property information)
- Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others (for example, policy coverage, premium, payment history)
- Information from consumer reporting agencies (for example, credit-based insurance scores, motor vehicle reports, claims-history reports) where permitted by law and disclosed in the application
Categories of parties with whom we share NPI
We disclose NPI only to the parties identified in "How We Share Your Information" above, only as permitted by law, and only as reasonably necessary to deliver the insurance products and services you request or to comply with our legal obligations.
Confidentiality and security
We restrict access to NPI to employees and service providers who need it to provide products and services to you. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards designed to protect NPI.
Former customers
We continue to treat the NPI of former customers in accordance with this Policy.
Your Choices and Rights
Access, correction, and deletion
You may ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, correct inaccuracies, or delete information we are not legally required to retain. Contact us using the details at the bottom of this Policy. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and certain insurance records must be retained for the period required by law and may not be deleted on request.
Marketing communications
You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by replying with "unsubscribe" or by emailing us. You can ask to be removed from our calling and texting lists at any time by telling the agent on the call, replying "STOP" to a text message, or contacting us in writing. We will continue to send transactional and service communications related to a quote or policy you have requested.
Florida residents
Florida law protects the confidentiality of personal information held by insurance agents and carriers. You may request a copy of the information in our records about you and ask that we correct any inaccuracies, subject to the exceptions provided by law.
California residents
If you are a California resident you have certain rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information we have collected and disclosed about you, the right to request deletion, the right to correct inaccurate personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise these rights, contact us using the information below; we may need to verify your identity before responding.
Other state laws
Where another state's privacy law applies to you, we will honor the rights provided under that law to the extent it covers our processing.
Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, and alteration. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and any login information confidential.
Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the services you requested, comply with our legal and regulatory obligations (including insurance record-keeping requirements), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we securely dispose of or de-identify it.
Children's Privacy
The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
Third-Party Websites
The Site may link to third-party websites — for example, carrier portals, social media pages, and Google Maps. Those sites are governed by their own privacy policies, which we do not control. We encourage you to review them.
Do Not Track
Some browsers transmit a "Do Not Track" signal. Because there is no industry standard for how to respond to those signals, we do not currently respond to them.
International Visitors
The Site is operated from the United States and is intended for residents of the State of Florida and other parts of the United States. If you access the Site from outside the United States, you do so at your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local law.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The most current version will always be posted on this page with a revised "Effective Date." Your continued use of the Site after we post changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.
